Don't forget your Map Mastery, Geology book pages 33-47 will be due on Monday but if I were you I would do it tonight so that 1) it's done and 2) one of those maps will be on your History Test tomorrow which brings me to:

The History Test. Make sure you know the major Geological landmarks of the Western Hemisphere, I would know the Mountains, Rivers, and Deserts.

See you guys tomorrow!

Hey guys, sorry I didn't post tonight. I've been sick all day and when I got home I crashed...I just woke up and realized I didn't post anything. Sorry :-)

Tomorrow. Big Bible Test:

Know your Tabernacles, plagues, commandments. If your not sure what else flip through your workbooks. Lessons 6-10.

Quiz tomorrow in Science. We'll review for that.

Guys, there's a chance that I might not make it in tomorrow so if I don't and I found out that you gave the substitute a hard time, ohhhhh boy... I'm going to give you guys a hard time. That's for sure.

No Homework

Except for you peeps that didn't get your Bible workbook finished. Remember Big BIG History Test on everything that we've learned so far. You guys should have your study sheets and your books and your geography books for tomorrow. We will review but make sure your read through your study guides. Try to figure out keen ways to remember facts like we were doing in review today. Most of you got A's and B's. Keep that up. Just take some time to do it.

Also, Science quiz tomorrow. Don't worry about it though, just worry about the History test. We'll review for the science before the quiz.

One more, it's Friday tomorrow so we will be having our Vocabulary Test. You guys know what you need to know for that.

STUDY!

Big History Test tomorrow and history quiz. I would look at your geography books or map in your history book and know the territories of Canada, the major seas and oceans of North America, and look at the map that shows you what a delta, mountain, peninsula, etc. are. Don't forget your science homeowork. I don't have it in front of my but I think it was 2.8-2.9. You guys should have it written down already and don't forget to do the comprehension check.

Tons of Studying!

Ok, I'll just lay it on yeah.

H/W for tonight:
-Finish up your assignment in your Bible Workbooks

Tomorrow:

Science Test (2.1-2.6)
History Quiz (4.1-4.6)

Wednesday:
History Quiz (4.4-4.6)
History Test Ch. 3-4

BTW Parents if you are wondering why we are taking a History Test and Quiz on the same day is because the test was originally to be taken on Monday. They wanted more time to study, I didn't have a problem with it but also told them they had a history quiz the same day and another History Test on Friday. They agreed it to it.

Language Test

Thursday:
Math Test
Bible Quiz

Friday:
Science 2.9-2.11
History Test Chapters 1-5 <---This is a big one guys
Vocab Test (List #5)

I also assigned an extra credit assignment to the students, I will be counting it as a Test grade for History. These are the requirements:

5 Page paper, typed, double-spaced, on any major historical event. By major I mean it changed the world. I also told them I don't want 10 papers on WWI or WWII. Think outside the box guys. From the beginning of time 'till now. Any important historical even and how it changed the world. I will read them and if it is well written with correct grammar and punctuation I will accept it. If I don't get a worthy paper it will not be accepted and not handed back for another try. There is no deadline for this, so take your time and make it worth reading.

Also, if you find this site to be of help and appreciate it do me a favor and make it known to the school office. It would help. Thanks and have a great day!

Geography...

Today the class did very well. They were all attentive and listening. We reviewed for our big Bible test. All those that listened did extremely well.

Homework:
Finish up Geography everything up to pg. 31

That's it.

Study for your Science quiz tomorrow over 2.3-2.6 and for your weekly vocab test.

Monday there will be another Science quiz and a big History Test. But no worries we will review and make study sheets tomorrow in class so you can study over the weekend.

I found this video on the internet. It's kinda cool and shows you how much a number can change just by adding a single '0'

Only one more day guys, then...Friday.

Wednesday, September 06, 2006

Today was a rough day. Parents I need your help keeping the kids in class quiet. Also, if your son or daughter is ever absent a day it is there responsibility to make up or ask me for the work, none the less, I still notify all students who are absent what they have missed, also on this blog they should have no excuse what there homework was and should have it ready to turn in.

H/W:

-Math Speed Drill Sheet that was passed out is due tomorrow
-Study the Egyptian plagues
-Memorize the books of the New Testament in order
-Be able to draw the Tabernacle with all parts, know what each part is and what it represents
-Know the 10 Commandments in order

Thursday:
-Language Test
-Bible Quiz (Lessons 6-7)

Friday:
Science Quiz (Sections 2.3-2.6)
Vocabulary Test

Another thing, I sent home the packets with school work today. Just so you know. Before a quiz I have the students study during any free time, I have them answer the questions after each section, and review with them daily. Before a quiz I review with them off the actual quiz. If they are paying attention they should get A's on all their tests and quizzes. When we finish a chapter I have them write down all important terms from that chapter with their definition. This becomes their study sheet that they can use before the Test/Quiz. I always tell them what they need to know. (For an example look at the top, I've given them what they need to know for their next Bible quiz) There is no reason why they should be doing bad on their tests and quizzes unless they are not paying attention, not listening, or not doing their work.

Priority: Study

We have a lot to get done at home today as far as studying goes.

Tonights homework is to do Map Pg. 18 - most of you got it done in study hall today but I will be checking it for a homework grade tomorrow along with your Language on Pg 36 Section "E" - It's a simple assignment so just do it.

The Sections for History is specifically:

Sections 3.1-3.3
Sections 3.4-3.6

Study for at least an hour tonight guys and you'll do alright on your quizzes tomorrow:

I would know your Candian Provinces and Territories along with their cities. Study Page 18 on your Geography books and it'll give you a good idea.
Also know the Canadian Geography as far as bays, rivers, etc. You'll need to know those on the quiz tomorrow.

The Sections for Science is specifically:

Sections 1.7-1.8
Sections 2.1-2.2

The first quiz is almost a review and the second one is over new material.
